Multi-agent as implementation, not slogan
Luthor does not lead with “multi-agent legal AI.” Multi-agent execution is justified only where different permissions, independent evidence, parallel issue work, or adversarial review create measurable value. If two roles share context, tools, and output, they should be merged. More agents are not more innovation.
Shared artifacts beat agent gossip
Agents communicate through versioned artifacts: extraction bundles, deadline proposals, research memos, authority proofs, strategy deltas, opposition memos, QC reports. Every field carries provenance. Free-form agent-to-agent chat is not the system of record.
Adversarial review is a feature
Opposition Counsel and Quality Controller exist to stress-test the proposed delta: missed directions, stale law, unsupported citations, schema failures. Malformed output fails closed. Counsel still sees objections before approval, so the swarm hardens judgment rather than replacing it.
